Ceramics Studio
Equipment: Our ceramics studio is equipped with a slab roller, 6 electric wheels, one outdoor kickwheel, a clay mixer, hand tools, slab molds, studio glazes, a pug mill, and two electric kilns.
Firing: We fire glazeware in a cone 6 oxidation firing, using an L&L kiln generously donated by Thrinley DiMarco. Firing is done by Alchemy technicians. We will also be installing two large gas kilns this summer, details TBA!
Clay: A variety of cone-6 clays are available for purchase from our store at $25/25lb bag. Studio glaze is included in clay/membership.
Access: Ceramics studio members can use the space for 5 hours per day from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, depending on availability, via our studio scheduler. At this time, access to the building is by stairs only.

Print/Photo
PRINTSHOP
Our printshop is equipped with two relief/etching/monoprint presses, a paper soaking sink, drying racks, a drying press, inking stations, brayers, and carving tools. We also have a screen printing set-up with a screen press, exposure unit, outdoor spray-out station, emulsion, squeegees, and necessary cleaning materials.
Members of our printmaking department have access to the studio from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM each day during open studio times. Printshop Members receive a flat file and shelf space for personal storage.
Paper is available for purchase on site, and includes use of studio inks (oil-based and water-based).
PHOTOGRAPHY DARKROOM
Our photography darkroom features three enlargers, a print dryer, a drymount press, and black and white chemistry.
Members of our photography department have access to the studio from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM each day during open studio times.
Photography members receive a flat file for personal storage. Photo paper is available for purchase at Alchemy, and purchase price includes use of Alchemy darkroom chemicals.
