What is Studio Membership?

At Alchemy Art Center, we offer Studio Membership to our Ceramics, Print, and Photo Studios.

The Studio Artist program is designed to support and encourage both long term and short term members. Membership offers the most access to Alchemy (7am-9pm each day unless there is a class or workshop scheduled), and is a great deal for people who are comfortable working independently. Membership is available on a monthly basis, so there are always new ideas and talents moving through the AAC community.

Membership is intended for people of skill levels. Members are not expected to be experts, but they are expected to both care for the upkeep of their studio and understand the basics of safely working within it. If you have an interest in the medium and you are a responsible and respectful person, we encourage you to apply.

While membership is not a class, Studio Members receive the benefit of an exclusive weekly open studio, monitored by one of our Resident Experts. Our Experts generously give their time each week to provide Studio Members with assistance, advice, demonstrations, and project feedback. We are so grateful to be able to offer this benefit to our Studio Members.

Studio Member bonus: Members are invited to “bring a buddy” on the last Friday of each month, 6pm-9pm. Members are responsible for guiding their friend in the studio, communicating safe and responsible studio practices, and either sharing materials with their friend or assisting them in purchasing what they need from the Alchemy store. Spread the love!
